observing behaviour in the hallway i noticed that it is a transitional space.

the interaction in this area includes coat and shoe storage, also many people lean on their radiators while waiting to leave the house or talking on the phone.

from this piece of observation, i designed a radiator perch which provides a warm cushioned lean with a pocket to keep your slippers warm ready for when you get home.
